12. 14 Tracks of Nordic Gloom by Frank Paul (show description) 11 months ago 10
Whether it's the dark ambient of Deathprod, the arctic imagery of Elegi, or the moody introspection of Biosphere (to name but a few), the Scandinavians seem to have the market cornered on gloomy yet strangely compelling electronica.

18. Haunted Dancehall by Richard Spears (show description) 10 months ago 8
Bizarre, distorted and occasionally worrying... From brooding post Kraut-rock, to Digitalised Dancehall - dark and merky synth lines and industrial clouts. From P.I.L, to Human League, to Burial, to Suicide, to My Bloody Valentine, to Sabres of Paradise.
19. Eurocrunk by Music Lover (show description) 11 months ago 7
It would be nice to have something on here that would be fun to listen to with friends in a car w/good beats and lyrics, w/o getting embarrassed and having to launch into an explanation of why some weird 10 minute instrumental is on the car stereo. Only Eurocrunk bands I know of are Stacs of Stamina and Wonder, both of which left me wanting to hear more.
