Everyone's favourite ginger noisnik John Twells has been producing and releasing his own music under the Xela moniker (as well as running his own highly regarded Type Records) for the last 5 years. He's also been known to write the occasional review for us so we have a measure of just how hard he is to please. Here is his 14 track selection, a truly wide-ranging assortment of noise and harmonious listening from across the musical divide...

just wanted to say hi, and what a great idea the 14 Tracks one is. A great way to discover new stuff; I don't agree with one postee tat they should be free, but I do like the idea of a bit of discount for buying all 14 tracks.

I'll listen to ANYTHING this guy serves up. He has such an uncanny ability to harness the collective talent of so many extraordinary artists. Everybody must download the primer Vol 1 collection from Boomkat. Not exactly fresh anymore, but truly stunning nonetheless.
