Peerless harmonic baroque movement for the winter months.
Tense and foreboding drones with a cavernous 808 subbass.
Drone detachment from the brilliant Kajo album on Touch.
Gothically cinematic abstraction reaching the furthest climes of the frequency spectrum.
Musique concreté and dub-weighted spacescapes from the 'Happi' EP.
A meeting of avant-garde minds exploring the thresholds of noise manipulation.
Glistening electronic psychedelia with a head-meltingly exquisite ending.

Sustained tonal saturation from the nether regions of Vainio's mind.
Near-silent somnambulent atmospheres for followers of the Hafler Trio or Coil.
A spectral guitar feels its way through pitch-black unheimlich atmospherics.
Glacial symphonic ambience with a shocking twist. A stunning piece of work.
Adventurous experimentalism sculpted from purest sine waves and electrical current.
Displaying the aesthetics of improvised jazz and extreme electronics from the brilliant Emego release.
A sublime two and half minute respite from barren landscapes.

“headphones”
listening to Vainio on headphones loud is unlike anything i've ever experienced. The man has a perfect understanding of how to manipulate physical and emotional responses through frequency changes and the most minute shifts in sound. I love this selection - another top to bottom winner i'd recommend to Vainio newcomers and aficionado's alike, respect to sites like this one for highlighting the most important and often unnoticed contemporary works out there.

“Oh Man I need more money!”
I have been a fan of Mika's music since a good friend introduced me to Panasonic back in 98. Been trying to keep up with his work since then but with people this independent, it's sometimes hard to keep up on them. So thanks to Boomkat and 14 tracks for being around, so that I don't have to chase after all their new music. I can just get it here.
