An essential introduction to the world of Matias Aguyo. Feel free to close your eyes.
Hilariously funky minimalism with an inimitable swing. "...That music got no groove, got no balls"
An Irresistibly stripped and kinky shuffle groove featuring Uzuri records head Lerato on vocals.
Rugged bleeps and grinding basslines from the classic'After Love' album.
Super deep and discordant narco-rhythms for the wee hours.
Acid pop featuring sultry vox over a truly demented slo-house pattern.
Killer cover of Kylie's classic 'Slow'.

What the hell is it? New Wave? Disco? House? Pop? Minimal?!?!
Organically arranged drum machines and delicate electronics make for a Kompakt classic.
Mesmerizing South American syncopations with Aguayo's abstract touch.
intimate 11-minute masterpiece crafted from the barest ingredients.
Amazing New Order style plastic pop where late 80's house meets late 00's Chilean dance technology.
Another sweeping melodic statement from the Closer Musik archives.
Super reflective, romantic dance-pop with a disco heart. Swoon.

“Dirk Leyers”
I think this is a great selection of tracks and Matias is a wonderful artist who deserves this kind of spotlight.
BUT... Dirk Leyers never gets enough credit!
Again, no disrespect to Matias or 14tracks, these are all slamming tunes, but please please somebody checkout Dirk Leyers post-Closer Musik work!

“Nice changeup from the usual”
Good stuff - once again, you've amassed some gems from a guy who we hear from once in a while, but perhaps not often enough. IMHO, a set like this is welcome cuz in amongst all the funky beats it occasionally expresses a sense of fun and joy, something missing from many of the more hyped variants on the scene today.

“I forgot to mention”
I forgot to mention...SEX! This music is very sexy, very sensuous. The best music doesn't shout, it tickles.
