Brendon Anderegg and Koen Holtkamp sounding like classic Eno recorded during a tropical downpour...
Environmental sounds collected in Sweden, Iceland and England layered with dense electronic parts.
A shoegazing motif buried by an emerging, unstoppable, gargantuan wall of sound...
beneath the electro-acoustic prowess and academic veneer there's pop music waiting to be discovered.
The legendary 75 year old with music built around shortwave radio recordings plucked from the ether...
Timeless, organic drone music made with shimmering guitar - sounding like trodden-on snow.
An incredible 20 minute exercise in beauty emerging out of a quiet fog of repetition.

Jazz-loops and hazy half-speed drones somewhere between Fennesz, Vincent Gallo and Philip Jeck.
Pulsating, crumbling sounds and proto pop ambience across 13 minutes of pure drone bliss.
Spencer Yeh with melancholy and slightly ambiguous sequence of tones, drones and an alien aesthetic.
Languorous post-rock from a combination of guitar drone, field recordings and electronic treatments.
Stephen O'Malley and friends exploring a death ambient aesthetic.
A distorted vision of somewhere quite beautiful...
Monolake's Robert Henke with a breathless and slowly evolving musical vocabulary...

“perfection”
I've heard of some of these artists above but have never heard of the majority of them and the music i'm hearing is everything i've dreamt of since first discovering Tim Hecker a couple of years ago. Every track here is amazing - thanks so much for bringing them to my attention.

“Unusual and interesting selection”
Beautiful mixture of stuff here, and kinda bizarre (and cool) to hear any of it described as "pop". Especially nice to see Burning Star Core included!

“Dear Boomkat,”
I love you. This selection of music is the best mixtape you ever "gave" to me. You are the bestest music curators ever.
With much love,
9er.

Etherically washed grungy undertones of beauty and restraint...great music to accompany the passage between death and wherever is next!
The most useful (and beatless) tunes I have purchased in years...thanks for the research!

Great idea.
14 is clearly the best way to learn about music of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
I need that on my iPhone!

“You Are So On”
I've sat and listened to nearly every track sample posted here. This has got to be one of the best music shop compilations I have come across. Every track is consistently and blissful in its own right. I would love to see this in lossless! Any hesitation I feel in purchasing this compilation this second is due to the fact that it is not offered in a lossless format. These tracks are deep and meditative and deserve to be experienced in 'intended' quality. Thank you nonetheless for your efforts here! I learned some new names.

I also wish to make mention of the actual presentation of '14 tracks'. This is a beautiful website that is both pleasing to the eye and easily navigable. Great job!

Respect to Boomkat for opening our ears to a more different and unusual realm of music! I have completed my own mix dedicated to dark ambient/drone on my website, check it out if you appreciate this selection.
