From the American soul centres of Chicago, New York and Detroit, deep house has inspired fresh, strong roots in Manchester, Amsterdam, Liverpool and much further afield. This selection checks experienced hands such as Marcellus Pittman, Ron Trent, Dream 2 Science and Fred P, alongside new skool cats such as Juniper, John Heckle, Juju & Jordash and Jonsson/Alter (alliteration is coincidental, we swear!), eschewing the heaps of crap that passes for deep house these days and cutting straight to the raw essence of sensual, hypnotic grooves for body and mind. Among them you'll find Theo Parrish's 3 Chairs peer Marcellus Pittman on the inimitably tucked and trippy 'T.S.O.T.', beside all-time classics such as 'My Love Turns To Liquid' and 'Morning Factory', while the newbloods represent in lushest style on the likes of Juniper's magical 'Selenic' or Juju & Jordash's psychedelic dosage 'Dr. Strangepork'.
