This time on 14tracks:

“14 tracks: Tech House Shake Down”

This week we're on a dancefloor flex, joining the dots between freshest tech-house, broken beat and latin percussions. It's straightforward: this is music to make you do-the-do, full of body-synched suss and tactile sensuality, and perhaps with an extra lashing of bass to taste. St. Germain kick it off with the supple battery of 'Percussion', proving Ludovic Navarre always had more to his sound than coffee table jazz vibes, while Sei A and Gerry Read bring us bang up to date with the sheer synthetic shakes of 'Going Down' and 'Untitled (No.1 Edit)'. Limbered up, Tony Quattro amps the nocturnal excitement with 'Out On The Floor', and we're in full swing for a run of stripped-down and heavyweight house from Firejosé & KSP's 'He Just Went Out' to Mosca's rumptious 'Accidentally', before swerving into widescreen broken techniques from Guy Andrews, Altered Natives, and Shed. So the last section goes dubbed-out, techier, tighter - stepping' from the tucked-up syncopation of A Made Up Sound's 'Malfunction (Despair)' to the aerodynamic contours of Paul Wooldford's 'Pursuit' and the super sub-heavy dip of Red Rack'em and Sascha Rydell.
