This time on 14tracks:

“14 tracks: built to boom”

It's a pure dancefloor selection this week, powered by big, booming 808 vibrations. From Atlanta to Amsterdam, Sydney to South London, the pervasive influence of American Electro, Juke and HipHop is all over the scene, percolating through Funky, Dubstep, House and those mongrel styles which simply don't have a name yet. This selection scans a bunch of the best, from the avant-Bass music of Dro Carey to Walton's smooth-but-rude House ride and Visionist's shark-eyed syncopation. To get you going, look for heavyweights like the Claude VonStroke mix of DJ Blaqstarr or A1 Bassline's beastly 'Falsehood', the robust club action of Dexter's infectious 'T.H.I.N.G' and Clicks & Whistles' 'Cranberry Goose'. On a more minimalist flex, score the air-carving contours of Total Freedom's 'Wake Sleep' remix, James Blake's swaggering 'Order' and Sully's 'Let You', and for craftier moments makes sure to check Lando Kal's essential 'Run It' (available upfront, too!), or Throwing Snow's superb 'Shadower'.
