This time on 14tracks:

“14 tracks: Ritual Order”

Our 'Ritual Order' is a polytheistic, star-gazing selection of contemporary drone, electro-acoustic and synth music united by a wish to explore the extra-ordinary. With music from Seattle's Master Musicians Of Bukkake to the Tibetan Buddhist Tantric chant of Phurpa, we're not looking for any specific spiritual meaning, just compelling, supernatural and life-affirming music which should be heard by anyone with an inquisitive set of ears and an open mind. We've included some of the very best synth and drone music of the last year or so, such as the masterclass of Borden, Ferraro, Godin, Halo and Lopatin's 'People Of The Wind', the majestic concrète figures of Bee Mask's 'Stop The Night' and the dissonant sensations of Golden Retriever's 'False Entry', plus notable works by electro-acoustic auteur Stephan Mathieu and the 'Infinite Reach' of Barn Owl. Here, the lo-fi ceremonial psych of Starving Weirdos is placed on the same page as arcane concrète from Liberez and exalted composition by Kyle Bobby Dunn or Fennesz, offering the sort of full spectrum sonic soul cleansing which we all need every once in a while.
