This time on 14tracks:

“14 tracks: Sunset Beatdown”

The big glowing orb is in a beat down mood so the vibe is right for a smudged House and HipHop harvest. We're talking new and old skool Chicago from Ron Trent and Tevo Howard, through to new skool UK sounds by Julio Bashmore and Floating Points and smoked-out beats by Samiyam and Ras G. There's some choice nuggets to be found, not least Mr Beatnick's super sub-heavy 'Casio Romance' and the breezy bob of Stereociti's 'Day By Day', and it'd take a cold heart not to be seduced by the charm of Mark E's 'The Day' or Charlie Dark's gorgeous remix of LV and Message To Bears. Factor in fuzzy reel-skool vibes from Morphosis and Red Rack'em and you've got a fine selection to soundtrack russet evenings and balmy nights.
