This time on 14tracks:

“14 Tracks: Immolation for Prurient”

Influential Noise artist Prurient (Dominik Fernow) has just released his most diverse, pellucid and, ultimately accessible album to date in 'Bermuda Drain' on Hydrahead Recordings. It was reputedly inspired by "listening to so much techno - on the road, on headphones, always driving, perpetually moving" while touring Europe with his group, Cold Cave, and finds him indulging a passion for the sly electronic thrills of EBM and Industrial Techno, with a healthy lashing of Noise, naturally. We can assure you, it's an intense and invigorating experience which coolly transcends the boundaries between Noise and Techno in the most sublime manner. In honour of this aesthetic, we've collected complementary cuts of dystopian modernist Techno from Regis, Shifted, nAX_Acid, and Traversable Wormhole, next to abrasive electronics from Pan Sonic, Theologian and the Vladislav Delay Quartet, and mixed them up with hypnotic darkwave by Staccato du Mal, and Coil-ed Techno from Water Borders & Petals, among other occluded souls. With more mainstream Techno currently exploring the textural pleasure/pain barriers of Noise, and the underground American networks in thrall to Industrial pop and darkwave, freakier ears are evidently spoilt for choice right now.
