“Special Brew: 14 forward bubblers...”

This week Planet Mu release the incredible 'Kentje'sz Beatsz' album by Anti G, exposing the infectious sound of Bubblin' to the world at large. The cultural creation of 2nd generation immigrants from the Dutch Antilles and Suriname, the Bubblin' sound developed in the Dutch underground through the '90s until young producers like Anti G, Shaun-D, and De Schuurman began meshing Dem Bow rhythms with traces of Dutch House and Electro. This ultra-modern syncretic sound has found parallels in UK Funky, Kuduro and Moombahton - a slowed-down American spin off of Dutch House - all covered in these 14 tracks. Within you'll encounter anthemic Dutch House such as Rishi Romero's 'African Forest', next to big room Moombahton bangers from Munchi, Tittsworth, Dillon Francis, and the style's originator Dave Nada. Tracing the virus to New York, we've got a tropical romp from Nguzunguzu before heading back to Europe and more Technoid strafers from Rebecca & Fiona and Jay Weed, plus Latinized Funky hybrids like T. Williams' 'Getting Mine' or Cardopusher's 'Damelo'. These tracks tek no prisoners, step up if you're limbre enough!
