Sacred Bones is an exceptional underground imprint operating out of Brooklyn, NYC. Their taste for the sweet blood of young goth pop virgins and rare, uncut garage rock and psychedelia has earned them an enviable reputation, not least because they've thrust the likes of Zola Jesus, Blank Dogs and Gary War into the spotlight. This 14 track selection offers a broad overview of what the do so well, including Gary War's dark synth articulation on 'Hollow Futures', Mac Blackout's seriously brilliant synth-pop/metal fusion 'Don't Let Your Love Die', a total diamond from early '80s Belgian coldwave outfit The Cultural Decay, snarling darkwave from Pop. 1280, grungy post-punk from Blank Dogs and, of course, some of that addictive goth-pop from Zola Jesus.
