“14 tracks of rendered silence”

The world of drone and microtonal music can be forbiddingly academic, yet it can also provide subtly visceral thrills which don't require a degree from the Conservatoire de Paris to enjoy and understand. These 14 tracks traverse the interlocking avant-garde disciplines of microtonal composition, noise, and drone music to give a deeply engrossing overview tracing some 50 years of experimentation and exploration between the notes and tunings of conventional music, attempting to examine time and space through rigorous research and sophisticated techniques. We've purposefully selected those quieter, microscopically detailed compositions which require some attentive concentration from the listener, but yield yourself up to these pieces and they may potentially rewire your aural comprehension and relationship with the sounds around you.

I feel like some Sachiko M (like Half-Moon) would've been a nice inclusion as well. Otherwise, great selection indeed. The Matt Rosner piece is wonderful.
